How Coast FIRE Calculator creates, reviews, and corrects its content — our standards for accuracy, transparency, and independence.

Purpose

Coast FIRE Calculator publishes free educational tools and articles about Coast FIRE, Barista FIRE, and financial-independence planning. This policy explains how we produce that content and hold it to a consistent standard.

Accuracy First

  • Every calculator result derives from the published formulas on our Methodology page, and the core math is protected by an automated test suite.
  • Worked examples in our articles are computed with the same engine that powers the live calculators, so the numbers you read match the numbers the tool produces.
  • Statistics and claims about withdrawal rates, historical returns, and FIRE concepts are described as heuristics or historical averages, never as guarantees.

Not Financial Advice

We are a software and education publisher, not a licensed financial advisor, broker, or tax professional. Our content is general information only.
